Two special requests were completed this past week. The prints are so seasonal and although it’s still winter, they leave me longing for summer. Fun bright patterns!

New fabrics being put to good use!
I am finding it easier to a bunch of the same type of sewing at one time. Jen has been amazing in tracing, cutting and pinning the fabrics!! But she’s awesome, so that explains it.
Putting labels on the straps that connect the saddle pads:
Sewing the batting beween the 2 side of the saddle pads:
Attaching the saddle pads with the strap:

This saddle pad has some of my favorite prints. Elegant yet still fun and it is reversible too! The ‘front’ is sea of little triangles outlined in an embellished yet subtle shimmering gold, all against a blue cloud-like background. The binding and girth straps (both sides) are a dark/royal blue with royal blue border. A quilted blue floral quilt makes up the ‘back’ of the saddle pad.
Front – Sea of Triangles Back – Blue Floral Assembled
This looks so much prettier in person but here are the completed front and back looks:
Because of the fanciness of the fabrics and since this saddle pad is reversible, it is selling for $50. If there is any interest in one of these, or a variation of it, please let me know! Thanks!!
Just finished and happily spoken for:
*** Please keep in mind, although a lot of the saddle pads shown are already finished, you may order your own to your making. Bindings, girth straps and border can be different colors on request, at no extra charge. The back can be different colors or made reversible, with a very small additional fee depending on the fabric.
Rings:
Quilted front, brown quilted back, brown binding and girth straps, light blue border.
Peace Be With You:
Flannel front, brown quilted back, brown binding and girth straps and light green border.
Poinsettia:
Reversible!!! Quilted front with a subtle, shimmering gold thread embellishment, red and green regular cotton plaid back, hunter green binding and girth straps on both sides, hunter green border.
So Jen and I went on a trip to one of our favorite fabric mills in Colchester, CT. Go to the Available Prints menu to see some of the fabrics we found!
A couple of my favorites:
i have decided to not host an online store.
i will still make these through word of mouth. but i have been having trouble trying to figure out how to market and just making the time to get the site up and running, let alone figure out a suitable design for this. i may have been a bit hasty 🙂

Hello friends!!
I have some fun holiday fabrics that are ready to transformed into saddle pads! At this point all of these saddle pads will be made with this bright red quilt for the backing:
These are the holiday fabrics to select for the outside of the saddle pad:
Festive Candy is a cotton fabric with speckles of glitter frosted throughout; Penguins is a fun cotton fabric; Red Nosed Reindeer is an adorable non-pill fleece fabric; Reindeer is a cotton fabric with gold reindeer that shimmer; Snowflakes on Red is a humble yet festive cotton fabric, depicting the season.
Binding and girth straps will be hunter green or red depending on the fabric. The border will be an complimenting shade of green or red, again depending on the fabric.
If there is any interest in one of these before Christmas, please let me know by my Email (catgarber@yahoo.com). Unfortunately, this site is not fully running yet, but it’s getting there…
Happy Holidays!
